BC33 M powder is used as a water repelling additive in mortar, stucco and concrete mixes. BC33 M increases the plasticity of the mortar mix and provides water repellency of the matrix which effectively reduces water absorption and improves freeze-thaw resistance. BC33 M is formulated to help reduce cracking, crazing, efflorescence, mix bleed water and provides uniform color for pigmented mixes. Mix water control is important when trying to maintain the following benefits.
Balanced combination of stearate water repellants and gelling compounds in a neutral powder base.
Use 1 lb. of BC33 M powder per bag of cementitious material and add directly to the mixing water. Add one additional lb. for each bag of lime used. Mix thoroughly before using the mortar
