Beton-Chemie BC 12 is a liquid vinsol resin air-entraining admixture, designed to produce microscopic air bubbles in concrete mixes. BC 12 helps to increase the workability of the concrete and provides freeze thaw resistance, improves plasticity, cohesiveness and placement, while reducing segregation, bleeding and shrinkage of the concrete mix. BC 12 can be used across a wide range of concrete mix designs.

Beton-Chemie BC 12 Air Entraining Admixture is fully effective and compatible in concrete with other admixtures including calcium chloride. However, each admixture should be added separately to the concrete mix. Beton-Chemie BC 12 complies with ASTM C-233, ASTM C-260, AASHTO M-154, Federal SS-C-192 and CRD-C-13-66.
There is no standard addition rate for Beton-Chemie BC 12. The amount to be used will depend upon the amount of air required for job conditions. Typical addition rate for BC 12 is 1 to 2 fluid ounces per 100 lbs. of cement, added to the gauging water. This quantity will produce air entrainment of 5 to 6%. Air entrainment admixtures will increase the volume of the concrete. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the water requirement and aggregate content, to maintain the cement factor and yield. When water reducing or retarding admixtures are used in the concrete, reduce the addition rate of BC 12 by 50%.
Beton-Chemie BC 12 will freeze at 32° F, but may be completely restored by thawing at room temperature and mechanically agitating thoroughly.

It is not warranted to be suitable for any purpose or use other than the general purpose for which it is intended. Liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement of the product as purchased, if found to be defective upon inspection by the manufacturer. This limited warranty is issued and accepted in lieu of all other expressed warranties and explicitly excludes liability for consequential damages.
